The democratisation of photography through advances in digital technologies, and the ability to share images instantly through social media platforms have created unprecedented opportunities to present photographs to an audience more widely than ever. Whilst those media outlets are unquestionably helpful in promoting and informing globally, for me the end product of making a photograph has to be its presentation in printed form: there is nothing like the feeling you get from studying the image you conceptualised and captured whilst holding the print produced on high quality photographic paper. I firmly believe that the print, framed and hung, or presented in book form, is the child of the vision that conceived and made the photograph - the tangible product of a single, unique moment captured for posterity.

Limited and Open Editions

Limited Edition prints are produced in a set quantity and will no longer be available once the edition has sold out. The exclusivity of these editions makes them more valuable and collectable, whereas Open Edition prints can be reproduced indefinitely. Whilst still printed to a high standard and signed, the reduced rarity of Open Editions renders them less valuable.

Alt

Limited Edition Print Provenance

Limited editions are printed as 20cm x 20cm squares on fine art papers as standard. Photographs are trimmed to remove the border and dry mounted on conservation boards with a reverse bevel cut. These are then mounted onto 41cm x 51cm conservation boards to lift the print above the surface, giving the impression that it’s floating, as shown. Prints are signed and editioned recto below the print on each edition board. The photograph’s full provenance and artist's signature are shown within his stamp on the reverse of the mount (as shown).

Prices for 20 x 20cm square prints start at GBP 638 and rise within the edition as prints are sold. Alternative sizes can be accommodated within the limited edition and priced accordingly. Please contact me to discuss your preferences and edition availability, quoting the title of the photograph of interest.

Framing

Limited Edition Framing

Hand made Oak frames are 1.5cm wide, hand painted and supplied with museum quality glass. The frames are fitted with chamfered split battens for secure hanging, but are also supplied with D-rings and nylon cord as an alternative (as shown).

Open Editions

Open Edition Prints

The sizes quoted refer to the paper dimensions not the photograph. The final image will be slightly smaller as prints are produced with a border of approximately 2cm to the sides and larger below to accommodate the Artist's signature and blind stamp (as shown). Alternative sizes can be offered- please contact me to discuss. Prints are protected with acid-free tissue, rolled and shipped in tubes.
